Where are you at in your life stage?
I've graduated with my master's in urban planning and currently being proactive in launching my career. I'm applying to work all over the United States and planning to attend career events.
I'm also practicing my cooking skills, being more rigorous in the hikes I take, and exercising frequently nowadays.
How's your life?
My life is a work in progress right now but I'm getting closer to attaining my goals every day. I try to be productive and on top of my responsibilities consistently.
I have to be out of the house every week to maintain good mental health, either taking a walk in my favorite parks, exercising at the gym, watching the sunset, or trying out a cafe I haven't frequented in my area.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Hiking, practicing photography, mountain biking; really allowing myself to become one with nature. Traveling to nature is akin to a spiritual experience for me.
What is most important to you right now?
Obtaining a job I find meaningful and advancing in my career has to be my first priority, but there's so much more that I want to experience, that I value. I want to build up my endurance and I have plans to hike the face of a mountain in my area quite soon. I intensely enjoy camping and wish to return to the Sierra Nevada region, as nature is so much of a reprieve for me.
I'm single at the moment and looking to find a long-term partner.
I am seeking new friendships too- people I can have deep, meaningful experiences with. If anything I've said here resonates I'd love to talk more.
Anything you recently found interesting?
The Bay Area is a hub for interesting wildlife.

Waking up to a quiet sunrise, freshly brewed coffee and reading a book. Spending time and cooking together with my partner while we dance to the music.

Wake up naturally. Rub my dogs head. Watch her yawn and do her cute stretch. Make a cup of matcha latte. Get a little work done. Nice lunch in Little Saigon. Go to TJ Maxx and browse. Gym. Hot pot dinner. Boba. A nice walk. Sleep.

Waking up without interrupted sleep. I can go about my day feeling my best and I'd exchange some smiles through transactions and to other strangers. I'd go home to make a simple meal involving lots of vegetables and I finally finish that bag of spinach. I'd go to the laundromat and coincidentally use up all my quarters. I'd then go home and light my favorite woody candle and press play on a movie I was looking forward to watching all week.

Where are you at in your life stage?
Post quarter life crisis. Exploring interests I've always put off like Muay Thai and dancing. Feeling more connected to my heritage of Lao and Thai. Learning to speak Lao, Thai and Spanish. Navigating the path towards independence from familial relationships.
How's your life?
Less chaotic, more routine, more chill with the ambiguity. My first stable job, a more chill part of my life because of discovering my goals and working towards planting seeds for my future.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Music, dancing, muay thai, learning something new.
What is most important to you right now?
Making the time to advance my skills in Muay thai and also to continue developing speaking and listening skills in Lao and Spanish. Consistency in everything including my studies, health, and relationships.
Anything you recently found interesting?
The similarities between the Lao and Thai language has been very interesting to explore recently.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I'm in my early-but-approaching-mid-thirties. I just moved back to San Francisco after being away for several years. I had left a nice job here to move to the East Coast to achieve my long-held dream of getting my master's in a field I was more passionate about. Before moving back, I ended a very meaningful relationship after having been on a dating "dry spell" for about 4 years. A month after moving back, some family stuff came up, and it took me about 3 months to sort everything out. I was hoping for some stability/coasting, but it seems like I will be laid off soon. I would say this is the year of transitions for me.
How's your life?
It’s been full of changes, especially the breaking-down of what no longer serves me/my family. And, it has been really challenging due to all the endings/beginnings. But, from a more positive lens, life has been pretty steady, mostly thanks to my family, a few close friends, and being back in my hometown of San Francisco (the familiarity is very comforting). Starting over is so hard, though. I am trying to look at it as a huge opportunity for me to continue aligning my life with my vision for myself.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Daily exercise (walking in my neighborhood, short strength-training routine right after I get up in the morning), getting enough sleep, meditation, and connecting with friends.
What is most important to you right now?
Finding my next professional role, getting back into dating, and expanding my community here in the Bay Area. I guess that's three things. :) Fundamentally: having enough energy to do all the things I want to do.
Anything you recently found interesting?
City College of San Francisco offers weight lifting classes! It’s something that I’ve been meaning to try. If anyone has any suggestions on strength training classes, please let me know!

Still trying to find where I belong and what I want to settle into. Recently got out of a year long relationship and feel lost. Just attempting to go out and try new things.
How's your life?
It's fine. I can't complain too much. I make enough to be comfortable and not too stressful. For the most part, I mistakenly compare myself to others and lose self esteem. I feel lonely and unsure what to devote time to.
What helps you keep your sanity?
I indulge in entertainment like sports, tv shows, and video games. I'm a big Alabama football fan and also tune into esports such as League of Legends. There's also many things to try in Los Angeles.
What is most important to you right now?
I'm currently trying different outings in hopes to foster new connections and life experiences. Perhaps I will eventually feel more confident in where I belong.
Anything you recently found interesting?
I've been into the recent uptrend of Pokemon cards. I bought a PSA 8 card of a base II set Alakazam and some modern box that I'll open with a friend later. I've also been opening the trading card app daily to open digital packs.

Early 30s, I'm in a very pivotal moment in my life, where a very important promotion is looming over my head. My entire career depends on it.
How's your life?
My life is great, I feel focused and sharp. Of course there are bad days and good weeks, but overall I feel hopeful, positive and inspired.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Weightlifting has been the greatest source of happiness and relaxation. I love reading self-help books and watching movies. Also very interested in songwriting and writing movie ideas. I tend to journal everyday, but sometimes I journal about not journaling everyday.
What is most important to you right now?
My promotion is always on my mind. Also, I'm always researching and diving into topics of aliens and alternate civilizations.

Where are you at in your life stage?
Life stages are funny sometimes. For me, nothing seems to be going in order but that isn’t necessarily a negative. I am currently growing into a life I never imagined.
I often say, I have lived many lives and I am curious to see what else will unfold.
How's your life?
At every point in my existence, I have welcomed the heartbreak along with the happiness. My life is full and fully enjoyed. Risks and setbacks are opportunities to learn exactly how determined you are.
What helps you keep your sanity?
I embrace the fact that while I might not achieve what I set out to do, my impact on others can make a substantial difference in their life. Maintaining the perspective that value can be found in even the simplest interactions has always helped me keep a calm mindset.
What is most important to you right now?
Selflessness, empathy, and kindness are too rare in the world for my liking. It’s essential to me that I not only lead by example but also help others to see the value in adding these qualities into to their lives.
Anything you recently found interesting?
I am a sucker for a challenging and beautifully crafted puzzle. I enjoy everything from jigsaw puzzles to puzzle boxes… and, as you might have guessed, I also love escape rooms.
I recently found a company that has a room that can be played multiple times with various different outcomes. I am on a mission to find enough people to join me in exploring this multilevel escape room.

I want to escape to where your mind is at. It’s is multilayered and damn colorful!

Sounds like a lot of things are happening in your life and it makes me curious about it as well! And I love what you said about value being found in the simplest interactions -- I find a lot of meaning in those types of interactions as well.
What do people usually get wrong about you?

@CH I once read that when people were asked to read an excerpt from a book and guess the gender of the author, most would assume the author is male. That might speak to the way society has shaped our expectations and perhaps could be partly why your readers make such an assumption. :)

Because I’m introverted and constantly overthinking, (maybe a tad bit of rbf.. ha..) people think I’m standoffish; to but it nicely. The reality is I’m not, I’m just selective with my energy. I’m always looking to improve though, so I know it’s something to work on if I’m giving people that impression of me.

My craft is in design. It’s often assumed that if you can make things beautiful, you or your work cannot simultaneously be smart

Where are you at in your life stage?
I am just finishing up my 20s. I just got married and moved from Canada to the Bay area last month. I work from home and don't really know how to meet people. I am looking to build a friendship group.
How's your life?
Life is good! I have a fantastic husband and am excited for our future! I am unsure how to adjust to life in the Bay though. I am from a large family and I used to see at least one family member once a week. I also had lots of projects in Canada, but now, I have a lot more free-time and I don't really know what to do with it and/or don't have the energy to do anything with it. I often feel unproductive and like I am just wasting away my days/the wonderful opportunities life gives.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Definitely the weightlifting. If everything goes to poop, at least I went to the gym! Also baking and random hobbies such as drawing, music, dance, and home improvement projects. I used to bake at least once a week and bring it to my coworkers or family members, but now I have no one to share it with as my husband doesn't eat many sweets.
What is most important to you right now?
Building a life with my husband. I would like to expand our friend group. I also am making a commitment to myself to reduce my screen time outside of work hours as I want to share more real time moments with others.

The word teetotaler originates from a speech by Richard Turner in the 1830's in which he stuttered the word "total" when advocating for total abstinence from alcohol.
