Hi, replying back since there is no mention. Happy to chat some more. My experience has been in SF so mileage varies. But usually you need to be a month in advance. More expensive ones generally have more openings. I went to sunsetclayhouse.com and the instructor there was pretty awesome and the vibe was great. There are more https://secretsanfrancisco.com/pottery-studios-sf/ and found some opening the next month. However, the most underutilized is to check if community colleges offer classes. CCSF when I took their night class, was the most bang for the buck. For the semester (~$150 for 4 months), you got free clay, firing, and glaze.

Thanks for all the info, i ll check em out. I have heard good things abt some community college classes. Harvey milk photo center offered classes which were good bang for the buck too. Not sure post pandemic. Stanford continuing studies classes are pretty good but a bit expensive

I have wanted to see a puffin ever since I read The Sea of Adventure by Enid Blyton. One of my bucket list destinations is the Faroe Islands, where there are lots of puffins (they do eat them, though).

@slothlover13 ohh you made me add faroe islands to my bucket list. To watch them , not eat. You can find them in maine too if you go out in the sea

Hi, @RandomRumination! Loved reading your post :) one of my favorite weekend pastimes is also whiling away at a cafe or library, and that is always better with company to co-exist with. I also love to hike, and have been meaning to find more company to do it with. sending you a request, hope we get to chat more :) enjoy your week!
