I stayed at a cult homestead for a few days when I was hiking the Appalachian Trail. I didn't partake in their language but I loved to observe the great aspects of the community and tribe mentality cultivated in harmoniously living together.

@Center4Ants Amazing! Were you aware it was a cult going into it? To be fair to them, I was reading the book Cultish, and not all cult-ish things are bad :)

@hojichaday Well aware prior to going. All the locals in a 200 mile radius were constantly talking about them. Since there were no rumors of murders, disappearances, or freaky drug situations besides the paranoia about their daily tea I was willing to accept an invite to attend a gathering for adventure

I feel you on the satisfaction of a clean sink - during my most recent life shake up, I went from hating doing dishes to really relishing the end result. Still one of the weirdest things that's happened to me.
