I love life and nature. I took this portrait of a doe in Yosemite the last time I visited.

Where are you at in your life stage?
After many years of trying new things, I have a direction for my career but I am still working to get there. I live alone in a small studio apartment, and it feels smaller every day as I am eager to move on to the next part of my life. I'm at a stage in life where I am wanting to grow my connections, both professional and personal.
How's your life?
My life is good. I'm 31, healthy, active, and motivated. I've always been very positive, though lately I've been regretting decisions that have left me feeling alone.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Activities of any kind keep me happy, be it as simple as a coffee at my favorite cafe or going out to events. I have a few hobbies I do often and I enjoy simple things like exploring the city or sitting at a park on a sunny day. When it's gloomy outside, I go to museums to get some perspective on life. Lastly, I can always rely on my family to ground me, though I don't see them too often.
What is most important to you right now?
Overall life growth is really important to me. This includes making an impact on my community, developing my career, my social circle, my education, experiences, all of it is equally important to me. I want to do new things, meet new people, and learn, all in hopes of widening my worldview and strengthening my sense of self.

Have you ever noticed that a goats pupil is rectangular and horizontal? Though I'm not really into fashion, I recently watched the documentary series "In Vogue" spurring some nostalgia for 90's fashion.
Like the founder of ATC, I want to meet with everyone and anyone. I have are no expectations. Send me an invite for coffee. I'm doing my best to send out all the invites I can.

Wake up after a perfect 8.5 hours of sleep a little after dawn but plenty before sunrise on a mountainside somewhere. Spend the morning kayaking on a mountain lake with mist hanging right above its surface but a chill in the air keeping visibility clear for miles. Write postcards to be sent to friends I haven't seen in years. Hike back into town to have either that one burger I had at the cash-only spot in Tempe or one of my mom's giant harvest salads. 25-30 mile road bike ride, ideally through something like the way to Point Bonita or the Lassen NP thru-road. Order pizza and drift off watching the Nice Guys for the thousandth timie.
Waking up to a quiet sunrise, freshly brewed coffee and reading a book. Spending time and cooking together with my partner while we dance to the music.

Wake up naturally. Rub my dogs head. Watch her yawn and do her cute stretch. Make a cup of matcha latte. Get a little work done. Nice lunch in Little Saigon. Go to TJ Maxx and browse. Gym. Hot pot dinner. Boba. A nice walk. Sleep.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I’m in my mid-thirties, single, feeling more settled in my career. Outside of work, I go to movies (AMC A-List member), cross stitch, read, and spend time with friends. A lot of friends have gotten married, had kids, moved out of town, etc, so I feel a little different from a lot of my peers.
How's your life?
It’s going pretty well! I love the work that I do—it feels very meaningful to me. I have a 15 year-old cat who makes me so happy. I have a few close friends who I care about deeply. I’d like to meet more people who have a good amount of self-awareness (maybe from going to therapy) and enjoy having deeper conversations.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Listening to music, going for walks, making an effort to be present in the moment, having good conversations, spending time with animals, going to museums.
What is most important to you right now?
My relationships are really important to me. I value my friendships and enjoy getting to know new people.
Anything you recently found interesting?
I just read two great books, The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury and Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano. I went to the LA county fair and loved seeing the many types of art people submit for competitions. I learned at a recent trivia night that the final single off Michael Jackson’s album Thriller was in fact Thriller.

Dig your emphasis on music + books + movies - I live in DTLA, so make the 30 minute trek to the Alamo Drafthouse here (where I've got a pass!) to check out the latest flicks all too often. Would love to trade movie and music opinions with you, so I'll shoot you a coffee invite.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I'm in my early 30s as part of a DINK, so finally feeling like I can be financially comfortable with having hobbies. So aiming for the 20's life on the 30's dime!
How's your life?
I'm new to this part of OC living and the move has been stressful! Especially at work, it's the busy season and I'm working on what my next steps are at work. I started paddle boarding over the summer which has been a blast but now I'm in the hunt for a suitable hobby for the cooler weather.
What helps you keep your sanity?
My dog keeps a little sanity for the both of us while the cat takes it. But occasionally I do love manga, especially if it's food related and/or solid world building, and cooking / baking breads. Having new experiences is just a shot of joy.
What is most important to you right now?
Me, myself, and I is the most important! Being and enjoying myself is the only way to be the person my little family deserves.

Recently I have been into listening to spooky stories on YouTube, shout-out to Abstract. I'm picky about podcasts and people's voices, but the content, stories, voice, narration, everything - perfection.

Finally emerging from school and nomad days, and might really have found a home for the longer term. Trying many new things in the last few years before I've really settled into a law career.
How's your life?
Life is great because I have enough work opportunities and hobbies to usually match the amount of energy I have at this stage. Life could be better because sometimes I have so much energy/drive to make big plans and not enough resources or people to truly make the most of it.
What helps you keep your sanity?
1. A book and tea in my bay window living room with a dull roar of street noise to keep me awake 2. Hiking the Steep Ravine trail connecting out from Muir Woods 3. Watching sunrise at least once a month from either Dolores or Mission Bay
What is most important to you right now?
Getting into work that keeps my fire lit while continuing to deepen my relationships, community connections, and culinary knowledge. Also taking at least one leap of faith per quarter.

Infinite City by Rebecca Solnit - I've always loved maps, essays, coffee table books, and San Francisco, and this combined all four as a perfect gift.

Where are you at in your life stage?
Mid-thirties, trying to figure out what's next, working through some challenges and trying to keep afloat.
How's your life?
It's a little bit in transition right now. There's a lot there's unknown that happened kind of suddenly and all at once and I'm trying to be present and work through it.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Conversations with friends, time in parks, physical activity (capoeira, dance), being in community
What is most important to you right now?
My mental health and giving myself space to explore more of LA, to find where I feel at home.
Anything you recently found interesting?
I've been watching the show Ramy on Hulu and really love its depiction of the tensions the characters encounter between their muslim faith/culture and American culture. I can relate as someone who grew up Christian but eventually moved away from the faith.

@CH I once read that when people were asked to read an excerpt from a book and guess the gender of the author, most would assume the author is male. That might speak to the way society has shaped our expectations and perhaps could be partly why your readers make such an assumption. :)

Because I’m introverted and constantly overthinking, (maybe a tad bit of rbf.. ha..) people think I’m standoffish; to but it nicely. The reality is I’m not, I’m just selective with my energy. I’m always looking to improve though, so I know it’s something to work on if I’m giving people that impression of me.

My craft is in design. It’s often assumed that if you can make things beautiful, you or your work cannot simultaneously be smart

Trying to find myself again at the age of 50. Mom to an awesome adult son that's away at college. Auntie to an amazing niece that's brutally honest.
How's your life?
Overall, great. I am grateful to have a great family and really good friends. Super stable job that keeps me busy. However, losing my dad in 2022 and then my mom's sudden passing last year has left an emptiness inside of me that I'm trying to work through. At times, I feel more than a little lost. Perhaps, being a daughter has been the longest identity I've held, longer than being a mom, a sister, a friend, an employee, that now that my parents are no longer here, I feel like I lost a big part of myself.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Catching up with my son, listening to my niece talk about anything, going out for walks, trying new restaurants, watching a good drama, cheering on the Warriors and 49ers, and a glass of wine now and then. I'm also a casual Pokemon Go player! Oh, and anything sweet definitely keeps my sanity.
What is most important to you right now?
Health and happiness for my family and friends. Meeting new people and forming new connections. Continuing to grow and learn new things. Growing older and hopefully wiser as gracefully as I can. Also, hoping to be able to travel to places I've never been starting with Korea.

Lol. Definitely, not as cool as the jazz you guys are thinking about. The user name goes way back when my son was a kid and needed a user name, back when he was really into.....Transformers. Somehow it stuck with me and became my user name.
